About John
My name is John. A qualified law teacher with LL.B Hons in 2001. I started teaching law in 2003 and I have taught adults and 16-19 year olds for the past part of 20 plus years. I am an examiner for paper 4 contract and nature of law OCR and was graded by OCR as excellent in the 2025 law paper I marked. Previously I was a senior examiner for AQA law paper 3 criminal law. I know what is required by the exam boards and how to unlock your potential to achieve the level 4 responses necessary to achieve a high grade.

My teaching style is both modern and flexible. I cater for the students' needs. This can be by imagery, demonstration or role play in a classroom environment. Typical lessons last 90 minutes but 60-minute lessons are more intense. I always try to get the student to break down the law and apply each element in small manageable blocks.
