About Laura
I am a qualified linguist with degrees in language studies and linguistics. For my functional skills learners, I see literacy as an important tool which both helps navigate day-to-day life and is a stepping stone towards achieving further goals. For my ESOL learners, I see multilingualism as a huge strength and something to be valued.

My teaching method is flexible and personalised, adapted to the individual goals and needs of my learners. Lesson content is based on the curriculum for ESOL or Functional Skills English as appropriate. I aim to tailor my lessons to the preferred learning styles of my individual learners, and as such deliver learning through a variety of tasks and presentation methods.
