About ANDREW
I am a friendly and enthusiastic languages tutor. Languages should be enjoyable and I hope to inspire you to enjoy learning them as much as I do ! Bespoke lessons adapted to suit your learning style / preferences.
In depth knowledge of many exam specifications, including AQA, OCR and EDEXCEL.
I am a UK national but have lived in France (Lille), Germany (Heidelberg) and Spain (Barcelona, Malaga and Alicante) and have taught many learners of differing abilities and ages - secondary school pupils, sixth form students, adult learners and languages for business use.
Before I became a teacher I was an export sales manager in international business & therefore have an insight into how languages are needed in business.

For Adult Learners: Focus on real life language & tips to aid communication / understanding using resources developed over a 30 year career. Happy to explain or avoid grammar given your preferences & learning style.
For GCSE and A-Level Students: Targeted towards exam success. We focus heavily on exam board criteria & how to improve performance. I teach specific exam strategies that help students manage their time and maximise their marks.
Typical Lesson Length - Flexible - usually 50 to 60 minutes. Lesson notes to be e.mailed after each lesson for student to review.
Qualifications and Experience - fully qualified, career linguist with three decades of proven success in top private schools & 6th form colleges / in UK education. 30 Years of Classroom Experience: Teaching in UK secondary schools and further education colleges. PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) in Modern Foreign Languages.B.A. (Hons) in French,
German, and Spanish.Extensive experience preparing students for UK exam boards (AQA, Edexcel).

GCSE & A-Level Students: Academic support, confidence building, and intensive exam preparation for German Spanish and French - all languages for beginner / GCSE / A level and degree level.
