About James
I started working in the NHS in 2007 and in the absence of spare time or funding, progressing your career can be challenging. I was offered a band 8A job in 2021 at the age of 34. I can advise you on the correct steps to take to ensure your time is used effectively. Unfortunately this guidance was never offered to me which is why I am driven to help and support aspiring indviduals.
I will also offer clinical support around blood investigations, cortisone injections, prescribing and clinical pathways. Another valuable session is stress management, resilience and dealing with uncertainty.

In 2019 I started working in primary care covering 3 GP practices seeing patients with musculoskeletal conditions, undifferentiated and undiagnosed. In February 2021 I started working as a first contact practitioner covering 6 GP practices. Within my remit I administer cortisone injections, prescribe analgesia, arrange and interpret blood tests and image investigations.
Because of my experience in primary care I can offer virtual sessions on uncertainty and risk management, surgical pathways, cortisone injection technique, dosage, appropriateness and pharmacology. As well as tutorials on career progression.
