About Emily
I’m Emily, a qualified primary school teacher with over seven years’ experience working with children across KS1 and KS2. I have a BA (Hons) degree, QTS and am currently completing a Master’s in Inclusive Education.
Alongside classroom teaching, I have been tutoring children online since 2023, supporting pupils with English, Maths, SATs and 11+ preparation. I’ve worked with children of different ages and abilities, including pupils who need additional support as well as those working at Greater Depth.
I love seeing children grow in confidence and reach the point where something that once felt difficult suddenly clicks. I aim to create a friendly, encouraging environment where children feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and challenging themselves.
As both a teacher and a mum, I understand how important it is for parents to know that their child feels happy, supported and genuinely benefits from their tuition.

My lessons are engaging, supportive and tailored to each individual child. I focus on building confidence alongside developing strong skills in English and Maths. Sessions are interactive and carefully planned around each pupil’s needs, using a mixture of discussion, modelling, games and targeted practice. I also provide support with SATs, 11+ preparation and specific areas identified by parents or school.
As a qualified primary teacher, I understand the National Curriculum and know how to adapt learning so that children feel challenged without becoming overwhelmed. My aim is for pupils to enjoy their lessons, feel comfortable asking questions and leave each session feeling more confident in their ability.
