About Claire
Hello, I am a qualified Primary Teacher. I have taught in a mainstream classroom setting for three years and specialise in SEN. I have taught children in Year 2 to Year 6 (ages 6 – 11) and am confident in planning and keeping the national curriculum at the core of the sessions. I have experience in teaching abroad, in a classroom setting as well as online and 1:1. I am able to teach any Primary subjects, especially English and Maths and will tailor my lessons and teaching styles to the needs of your child/children. Having taught in Primary I have been able to learn and understand various ways in which children learn and adjust my teaching to be more supportive and beneficial.
I have high expectations and enjoy challenging children, expanding their knowledge and teaching them the importance of perseverance and personal development. I am a friendly and supportive person who gets excellent results by making lessons fun, engaging as well as informative by using visual resources, games or even art! If the child is relaxed and enjoying themselves then they are more likely to retain the information.
I enjoy discussing goals and monitoring progress to ensure our sessions remain productive and effective. I believe that all children can achieve fantastic results with the right guidance and support. I am confident that my expertise and passion for teaching are qualities that will help your child attain great improvements
academically as well as improving their self-confidence.
