About Paris
After gaining a Bachelor of Design & Visual Arts Majoring in Photography and Film I became a full time photographer and videographer, which I have been doing for 8 years now. Throughout this time I have been tutoring photography to children and adults alike.
I work both in studio, and on location shoots so I can teach about aspects of photographing in both environments. My students have given feedback that they have not only gained deeper understandings of photography in my classes but enjoyed the style and pace of each lesson too.

I like to create a relaxed environment for the people I am tutoring by being highly personable and friendly.
As a professional photographer I have used my experience, and knowledge, to put this course together to teach you how to get the optimum use out of your camera, and venture off Auto mode!
Below is an example of what three lessons of learning photography with me would look like:
In our first lesson we will dive into understanding the basics of how cameras take photos by learning about the Exposure triangle: Aperture, ISO and Shutter-speed. Students will have a chance to play with these settings on their own cameras to see first hand the effects of changing each element has on making a photo.
The following week we will move onto learning about how to use light and colour to create the images we want, and why composition is so important. At the end of this class I will set a a small photo project in which the students will need to take three photos to share in the last class.
In our final class we will have a look at different styles of photography including landscape and portraiture. Will we have a revision of everything we have learnt in previous lessons as well as have a look at the images you took for your photo project.

Perfect! Paris is a true professional in the field of photography with a bachelor's degree and everything in between.
She is very competent and very friendly, and she can overcome any difficulties brought by the technology environment in which we have to see each other and any other distance learning challenges that can come up with her being on one side of the world and the student being somewhere else.
She did her very best to accommodate a great hour for our lessons although she was far away, in Australia, and me here, in England.
She is amazing!
