About Luke
Although I'm English, most Spanish people that hear me speak can't believe that I'm not Spanish. I have a great accent and a high level with the language that is difficult to reach, having studied Spanish throughout school and in university as well. (BA in Russian and Hispanic Studies). I have a wealth of experience with languages, being able to speak three fluently, with another two to a high level and various others conversationally. With this aptitude comes a lot of enthusiasm that I want to pass on to you. Due to my passion for learning languages, I started tutoring Spanish eight years ago, and then working in schools seven years ago. I qualified as a teacher, and am now working as Head of Department in a secondary school. Needless to say, you can trust me with tutoring, guiding and mentoring you to a greater level of fluency, whatever your needs.

I teach in an engaging and bespoke way, tailored to the needs of my students. I plan and prepare materials ready for the lesson, but am happy to adapt when necessary - even making worksheets on the fly! My typical lessons last one hour, which leaves enough time to "warm up" at the start and review the learning at the end. I am a qualified teacher with QTS, having worked in secondary schools since 2016. This experience means that I know how to explain the challenging parts of a language, as well as how to structure and deliver a quality session to any level. I have the most experience working with students between 11 and 18, but also have some experience working with older learners. I am well adapted to teach beginner's Spanish, GCSE, A-Level, conversational Spanish or business Spanish.
