About Qianxun
Hi, I’m Joanna, a qualified secondary teacher based in Victoria, currently working with Year 7–9 students in English and Humanities.
I have experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds, and I value creating a calm, supportive, and structured learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress.
I’m passionate about helping students become more confident and independent learners. I understand that many students feel stuck, unsure where to start, or lose confidence when tasks become more complex. My goal is to support them step by step and help them build clarity in their thinking.
What I enjoy the most about teaching is seeing students move from confusion to clarity as they begin to organize their ideas, express themselves more clearly, and feel more in control of their learning.
I also offer bilingual support for English and Mandarin, which can be especially helpful for students who benefit from additional language guidance. I look forward to supporting you in your learning journey.

I am a qualified secondary Humanities teacher in Victoria, with experience teaching Year 7–9 students. I specialize in Chinese, English, Humanities, and academic writing.
My tutoring approach is structured, supportive, and focused on building independent thinking and confidence in problem solving. I don’t just help students complete tasks but teach them how to understand questions, organize ideas, and express their thinking clearly.
In my lessons, I use:
• step-by-step guidance to break down tasks and essay questions
• clear frameworks for paragraph and essay writing
• questioning techniques to develop critical thinking
• personalized feedback to help students improve over time
A typical lesson is 60 minutes, including explanation, guided practice, and independent application. I adjust the pace and structure depending on each student’s needs.
My lessons are suitable for:
• Year 7–10 students
• Students needing support with English or Humanities
• Students who want to improve writing, structure, and confidence
I can teach in both English and Mandarin, which is especially helpful for bilingual students or those who prefer additional language support. Lessons are available online with flexible scheduling.
