About Cheryl

Hello there and welcome to my introduction, I am a qualified Foundation Phase teacher of Pre-Primary children with nineteen years teaching experience. After teaching for several years I saw students benefit from being given individual time and attention to develop Language and Arithmetic skills in lessons after school. I decided to support individual students in class and after school from Grade 6 to Grade 8 to achieve their desired results. A few years later I tutored students from Grade R to Grade 11 in Afrikaans and English, and Maths to students from Grade R to Grade 8. This includes students with a range of learning difficulties as well as a blind student in Grade 3. Let me know how I can assist you in achieving your goals.

About the lesson

English is my first language and Afrikaans my additional language. I tutor English and Afrikaans to Grade 1 -11 students and Grade 1 - Grade 8 Maths. It is good to informally assess and discuss your learning needs for me to provide tasks that are manageable for you to practice and to develop skills with diligence and determination. Goals enable you to achieve progress. Patience and good humor with a positive outlook and relaxed atmosphere will encourage you to gain the skills you require. I am a qualified teacher and have taught classes of children and individuals to read, using a creative, constructive approach. This includes students with learning difficulties. My aim is to put students at ease so that learning can flourish.
