About Heather
I am a qualified teacher, with 20 years experience working with children between 0-12 years old. My specialism is Early Years, and I currently teach Reception. I have a Masters Degree in Education, and my undergraduate degree I was in childhood studies, and included elements of child psychology, children’s literature and child development.

My approach to teaching is very much ‘learning through fun’ - simply put, if a child doesn’t enjoy the learning then it’s not going to stick with them! I use the child’s individual interests to tailor their learning to them and their unique needs, assessing their understanding through playful activities and games, and filling in any gaps along the way.
