About Madeleine
Hi! I started studying to become a teacher just before the pandemic started, it has always been my dream. When I was in school, English was my favourite subject but this was not always the case. When I joined my high school, I was not a confident reader and barely read at all, I had inspiring and engaging teachers who taught me my love of literature. This is what I want to share with you. Whatever your ability or enthusiasm for the subject, I want to work with you to get you the grades you need for whatever your next step is. I look forward to working with you! Maddy :)

This varies depending on the subject, but the key to helping you stay motivated is to find something within your topic and assigned work that is interesting to you. We will look at the context surrounding your assigned literature and how we can use this to improve your essays and therefore grades. We can look at ways to help you commit quotes to memory and also how to spot the language techniques and why they are relevant. The lesson will be split between analysing passages, learning context, activities and also time for you to ask any questions you may have. At the end of the lesson I will help with any work you need to complete. (Note: this is for literature students and language will have a more activity based format.) Lessons usually last 1 hour but can be shortened or lengthened to your requirement. I am a teacher by profession and specialise in English focus group teaching. My lessons are for GCSE and A-Level students.
