About Katie
I am an enthusiastic and passionate teacher who is originally from South Africa. I've been in Singapore for just over 30 years and I'm now a Singapore citizen. I am a firm believer that teaching and learning must go far beyond academic curriculums. I place an immense emphasis on respect, empathy, resilience and striving to do your best. I believe that learning spaces should be safe, supportive and positive environments where students feel comfortable facing challenges, failing and then being inspired to try again. I aim for my teaching and learning practices to be engaging, fun and, when appropriate, full of humour.

My lessons, online or in person, are designed to build confidence, address individual needs, and make learning enjoyable and effective.
