About Talia

I have a true passion for working with children, and was truly blessed to be given the opportunity to teach my beautiful students in Thailand for a year. I gained so much experience during this year and realized how much I loved working with children. Which is why I decided to continue my journey of teaching English online to amazing students in China.

I truly believe that children need to be in a comfortable environment to excel when learning a new language, that is why I take the time to get to know my students, their likes and dislikes, what their hobbies are, if they have any pets and if they have any sisters or brothers. This allows me to incorporate this vocabulary into our lessons which aids in keeping my students interactive and focused in each lesson as its about things that they are interested in and allows them to be more exposed to dialogue they can use in their daily lives.

I have my own 1.5 year old daughter , and a black cat named Batman! I am open and honest about my life and who I am, as I believe trust and communication is very important when creating a safe environment for my students to grow.

About the lesson

I love to make my classes fun and interactive for my students. I make sure to take time in the beginning of each of my classes to practice some basic dialogue, as I love to learn more about all of my students and guide and support them with the tools needed to gain confidence with the basic dialogue of the English language.

I find that 30 minute lessons work well for the age group that I have experience teaching, as I find that the age group that I teach battle to keep focused and give me their full attention if the lessons are longer than 30 minutes.

I am qualified TEFL tutor, and have gained experience teaching English in Thailand to the most wonderful class of 3-4 year old students. I taught basic English and Math to my students in Thailand. I also have experience teaching English online to students in China - the students I taught were aged 3 - 7 years old. I absolutely loved getting to know my students , and it was a true honor to watch their confidence grow as they felt more comfortable being able to practice their basic English dialogue.

I would design and tailor my lessons to each age group, my lessons would be ideal for students between the age of 3 - 7 years old.
