About Shawn
I have a Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences with Honours and a Master of Science Degree in Biology with a focus on the molecular and genetic aspects of metabolism. I also have previous experience as a teaching assistant for first year biology laboratories at Queen's. I have most recently worked in the food industry ensuring food quality and safety.

My teaching methods as a tutor and teacher involve a clear description of material with analogy and a concerted effort to lead the student through more complex ideas starting from the basic. I like to encourage students, make comparisons to real life applications, and lead their own critical thinking towards an accurate representation of the material.
