About Orla
I am a Melbourne independent dance artist, and a recent graduate of a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance, minoring in Creative Writing at Queensland University of Technology, and International Relations while studying on exchange at Leeds Beckett, United Kingdom. I have previously studied a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Ancient History, and have taken subjects in English Literature, Philosophy and French. I have previously worked as a free lance academic essay editor for high school and university students, as well as undertaking some recent Arts grant application writing work. I have also worked as a gymnastics coach for primary school students, a ballet teacher for pre primary children, and am currently working casually in customer service for a Data Specialists company.

To my mind, education and the pursuit of knowledge is the means by which an individual can attain genuine autonomy, liberating them to determine the shape of their own destiny.
With this in mind, in teaching students, I aim to enlighten and inspire, rather than enforce instruction. I prioritise encouraging a passion in students to learn, and in doing so empower them to begin to direct the shape of their own learning with confidence.
I am primarily looking to tutor students in English or History subjects. Depending on the student's requirements, my typical session may include:

- Discussion and debate of key topics
- Study planning and study skills
