About Marie
History is not everyone's favorite subject, but it is mine. My goal is to share my love of history and put my education skills to use by helping high school/college students with their history courses, homework, essays, etc. I am well-versed in American and World history, and spent a semester teaching Civic Literacy, and have written more essays than I can count. I am not going to write/do your work for you, but I will guide, edit, and proofread anything you need me to.

My preferred teaching method is inquiry-based learning, which means that I focus on making real-world connections through exploration and asking high-level questions to challenge students.
My lesson plans typically include discussion-based activities, which are reliant on building strong critical thinking skills and finding connections between history and current events.
As a tutor, I am here for the student and student only. I don't work for a school board, so I do not have to abide by standards that may involve censoring or inaccurate conversations about history.
My lessons are for high school and college students who want to learn more or need help understanding their current coursework.
