About Abigail
My name is Abigail and I am a recent Bar Course graduate. Prior to this, I obtained a Masters in Law and a first class honours degree in English Literature.
I enjoy simplifying complex concepts to ensure that students can build upon solid foundations of understanding.
In my free time I am currently enjoying training for triathlons.

I am well versed with the requirements of the English National Curriculum and KS3/A Level exam boards including:
- AQA
- OCR
- Edexcel
I have previously worked with students in secondary education across different class sets. Furthermore, I obtained qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages whilst at University. From this, I am able to adapt my teaching style depending on the requirements of the individual students, as well as those learning English as a second language.
My teaching style:
• Initial meeting to introduce myself and get to know the student. This would involve discussing their strengths and areas for improvement, any deadlines/upcoming exams, and goals for sessions. A written note will be provided to parents/guardians to summarise goals etc.
• I will then devise a tailored plan for the student to address the areas of improvement which will be circulated to student and parent/guardian.
• Lessons will involve active engagement with interactive tasks to check understanding throughout.
• Progress will be measured so that students have a visual representation of how far they have come.
