About Susmita
I am a final year BSc. Biology (Hons.) student at the University of Northampton, graduating in July, 2019. I have been working as a peer support tutor with the Library and Learning Services at the University of Northampton for the last two years (2017-19). I help university students from any course taught at the University, with their assignments by helping them to find resources and improve their writing skills, assignment structure, grammar etc.

In my two years of experience as a learning support at the University of Northampton, I have helped over 50 students from different courses - science to business- with their assignments. The type of students have varied from first year student asking about how to approach their first university assignment to final year or master's student wanting a second opinion on their dissertation draft or final year project ideas.
I approach each query by first reading over the assignment briefs, then going over the questions or topic with the student. I prefer to break down the topics and questions into smaller parts and then answer them using general concepts from books, supplemented by recent research in that specific field. Additionally, for proofreading assignments and improve academic writing skills, I offer students tips from my personal experience as an undergraduate student for the last three years and suggest them to tailor my tips according to their own need and learning preferences.

My rates will increase by £0.50 for every extra 5 miles that I need to travel to the student's house. If you want to cancel a pre-booked session, please do so at least 2-3 days before the actual date of the lesson.
