About Luke
I am a recent Durham University graduate with a BA Honours in Chinese Studies. I have experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language in China and would like to further develop my language teaching experience by also teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. My degree is equivalent to HSK Level 5, and thus would be confident in teaching HSK Levels 1-3 (as well as for qualifications such as GCSEs).
My other educational accolades would also allow me to teach beginners' Spanish (i.e. GCSEs), as well as GCSE Maths and English.

My teaching method is to use texts to place studied vocabulary and grammar into context. Lessons would address the core language skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. This enables students to both develop their lexical grasp of Mandarin, as well as improve their oral fluency.
