About Clay
Hi! I'm Clay. I'm a recent graduate of the California Institute of the arts with a degree in acting. As well as a professional actor. I've appeared on numerous television shows, as well as theatrical productions. Most importantly, I love what I do. I truly believe that it has the power to heal and give back. There can be a ton of stress surrounding audition processes. I truly believe we should always remember that ultimately we do this for us, because we love to do it.
I'd be so excited to mentor students in this amazing art. I'm always looking to engage in a real process, rather than engaging in result based learning. Let's work hard, learn and grow together, and take care of ourselves at the same time.

Lessons are available to any student and any skill level. Whether we are tackling a self tape audition for film, television, or theatre. Or if we are seeking monologues for theatre, I'm able to help facilitate in all factors of your process. First, we'd start with selection. Finding a piece that excites and intrigues the students. Then, we get under the language with table work. We'll find out what it is we're communicating through the piece, the intentions, and the thesis of our piece. We'll work on staying grounded, and truthful, while communicating a true and layered performance.
My main skill sets are my familiarity with self taping, and the college audition process. The college process can be a highly confusing beast. I went through it myself, and organizing essays, tapes, selections, etc, sometimes felt like too much to handle. I'd be there for the student every step of the way. Helping to write a solid artistic statement, as well as making sure monologue selections are unique, exciting, and most importantly, interesting to the student. Ultimately, this process should be about what you get out of it as an actor, and artists, rather than a result.
