About Chelsea
I have a bachelor's in Marine biology, a master's in environmental science, and a PhD in Biology (cell and molecular). I am passionate about science and pride myself on making any topic interesting. I have studied many organisms like sharks, mice, marine invertebrates, and cells in a dish. Over the years, I have taught many courses and have experience studying many different fields of biology. Making learning fun and sharing my passion is why I love teaching.

I have experience mentoring/teaching both undergraduate and high school level biology. I specialize in taking complex concepts and breaking them down into digestible segments. In addition, I am passionate about teaching and want my students to understand the material because I think biology is cool and should be accessible to all. When it comes to tutoring, the first step is reviewing the basics since a good foundation is important for more complex topics. I also make sure that I follow the pace that fits the student best, and I will explain topics in many ways until it clicks for the student.
