About Rae
I graduated with a math major from Mount Holyoke college, with honor in mathematics. In college, I attended all of my office hours and TA sessions to collaborate with other students to hear everyone's questions and points of view. In high school, I was the school winner of the American Mathematics Competition, and coached my school math team as captain. As a student who struggled with anxiety and dyslexia, I felt regularly let down by math teachers who did not believe in me, and that I did not fit the public school learning structure. But as a largely self taught student, I thrived. From my own personal experience I believe that I have the tools strategies to help others who need help beyond the classroom.

I understand that everyone learns differently and that they way you are taught in class might not be what is best for you! I can explain challenging concepts in many different ways, so if something doesn't click, we can try thinking about it from another perspective. Together we can break down confusing material and tricky language, and your textbook and assignments seem less intimidating. I will prepare you with the right tools to solve problems, so that assignments are less discouraging.
