About Courtney

My name is Courtney, I just completed my Bachelors Degree in Education with a major in Drama and a Minor in English... So I have a flair for the dramatics and being just a little bit extra. I've always had a strong passion for English and love to share that passion with everyone I come across. This includes my cat. Poor little thing has heard thousands of ideas for lesson plans at this point, yet she gets the good scratches so I'm not sure she minds! I'm really here to try and make English fun. Although it occasionally can be frustrating and seem like you're walking in circles, I know I can help you get to your final destination (Without it being like the horror movie.)
I'd love the chance to get to meet you, and help you get to where YOU want to be :)

About the lesson

I work collaboratively with my students and their teachers to be able to find common ground to help them excel and understand their studies. English can be a complicated course for some students, and I really try to focus on individual strengths and interests to grow upon the weaknesses students may perceive they have.
So what can you expect from me? Well, I'm still fairly young so I have constantly refreshing lesson plans, and know how to create something interesting and dynamic. Are you a Swiftie and really vibing with Midnights? Is TikTok where you spend a litttttleee too much of your free time? Is your guilty pleasure still Among Us... even for the memes? I believe when we work one on one, having lesson plans made for you specifically is the best way to help you grow. No matter the grade level or IEP's you may have, I'm here to help guide you to be your strongest self.
