About Sarah
As a recent Classics graduate now embarking upon a teaching career, I relish the opportunity to be able to share my knowledge and passion for Classical languages with students, and feel that my experience of being taught by world-leading experts at the university of Oxford stands me in excellent stead to offer first-rate Classical tuition. I am capable of teaching Latin and Greek at any academic level up to A Level, and will adapt my methods and teaching style to suit the needs to my students. Since I am beginning work as a teacher abroad this year, I am offering online Classics tuition to both UK and overseas students.

Tutoring:
I have worked with a substantial number of GCSE and A Level Latin and Greek students to provide outstanding and unique classics tuition. As a self-taught student of Classics with outstanding academic results, I am confident that the teaching methods I have developed will help my students to achieve their academic goals. The lessons will be focused on the goals of the individual student, but I aim to provide broad-ranging tuition which will also enthuse aspiring Classicists to further study, and I am always happy to give advice for university applications, especially to Oxbridge.
Lessons:
Lessons typically last one hour, and I am happy to take questions from students or mark work outside those hours. My standard rate is £30 per hour. If a student is in a situation of financial need, please contact me to discuss lower rates.
Academic record:
11 A*s at GCSE including both Latin and Greek.
A*s in Latin and Greek at A Level (my Greek A Level received the third highest mark in the country).
BA in Classics from Oxford University (fourth highest 2.i in my year group).
Tutoring experience:
4 years of Classics tuition (GCSE, A-level, Pre-University admissions)
3 years tutoring GCSE and A Level English literature and history
1 year working part time in an international school teaching TEFL.
