About Ayesha
My name is Ayesha, and I'm a versatile individual with a burning passion to help people unlock their full potential! I'm currently on a gap year, with an unconditional offer to study Psychology BSc (Hons) at Brunel University London. I love to teach, and I admire the satisfaction my recipients gain when their hard work and efforts are not wasted, when they receive the grades that they once thought were only achievable in their dreams. With my students, I'll make sure to implement strategic learning, filling in gaps of knowledge and ensuring constant progression by repeatedly introducing exam questions, where students will be given the room to make mistakes, but learn and grow from them so that the mistakes are made in lessons but are fixed in time for their exams.

As I've recently studied AQA A-Level Psychology, I can guarantee that I understand the course content and exam structure to a high degree of detail. I received an A in Psychology and an A at GCSE level for Higher Mathematics, and my typical lesson length is either 1 or 2-hour sessions. At the age of 16, I was able to teach my fellow students GCSE Higher Mathematics while simultaneously learning the content, and application of it, on my own by regularly hosting after-school library sessions. My teaching approach is strategic but nurturing, so that students feel they understand the content but are also given the room to make mistakes and grow from them. With content-heavy subjects like A-Levels, I take the time to present the information in a manner that is clear and comprehensible, while tailoring each session to the student's pace and learning style. This can be done through exploring which active recall technique they're comfortable with, whether it be flashcards, mind maps, exam questions etc. In addition, I would further implement exam-style questions throughout every point of their learning, in order to get students used to the formatting of their actual exams so they are in less shock when sitting their real papers. This also allows for students to learn the structuring of certain question types, as well as cutting out irrelevant knowledge and prioritising key terminology.
