About Hannah
I recently graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Biology, and I am currently taking two gap years to further prepare myself to apply to medical school. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in biology, neuroscience, anatomy, physiology, genetics, and other pre-med science subjects. I understand how challenging science courses can feel, especially when students are trying to balance difficult material with exams, labs, and long-term goals. As a tutor, I am patient, organized, and encouraging. I enjoy helping students break down complex concepts into clear steps so they can build confidence, improve their study strategies, and better understand the material rather than simply memorize it.

My lessons are designed to make biology and neuroscience feel clear, manageable, and less overwhelming. I start by identifying what the student is struggling with, then break difficult concepts into simpler steps using diagrams, examples, active recall, and practice questions. A typical lesson may include reviewing class material, explaining confusing topics, building study guides, and preparing for exams. As a recent UVA Biology graduate, I understand how demanding science courses can be, especially for pre-med or college students. I tutor high school, college, and pre-med students in biology, neuroscience, anatomy, physiology, genetics, and related science topics.
