About Sohan
Hi! My name is Sohan, and I recently graduated from university. I’m thrilled to help students build confidence and mastery in areas like algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and precalculus. I take great joy in seeing students have those "aha" moments when they grasp challenging concepts and can work through a variety of problems with ease. With my solid academic background, I work diligently to ensure that every student not only understands the material but also feels empowered to apply their knowledge. My approach is professional, patient, and designed to inspire both competence and enthusiasm for mathematics.

I begin each lesson by asking the student about their prior knowledge. I’ll start with a brief review to make sure they have a strong foundation and have mastered prior skills to understand the new concept they will be learning. I’ll introduce the new concept using lots of examples that’ll help them see how to apply the work with different types of problems. I’ll make sure to expose them to approach a certain problem in different ways, if possible, and I’ll try to understand which way works for the student the best. Once I’m able to see what way the student chooses to solve a problem that is given, I’ll go ahead and run through more problems for practice because repetition is very important to master a new concept. At the end of each lesson, I’ll assign them a couple of problems to do on their own time, and I will either email them the step-by-step solutions or discuss the answers with them in the next session. My lessons and method of teaching are for elementary, middle, and high school students that need help with mathematics. I can help them gain a better understanding from pre-algebra to pre-calculus. I can help each student with their grade level math homework and study for their upcoming mathematics exams.
