Hi! I recently graduated from the Uni of Birmingham with a 2:1 in English Lit & Modern Languages. I love working with kids and have school experience. I feel comfortable teaching lang and lit.

About Theo
I'm a tenacious, young English graduate with a great zeal for language and literature. As a child, English was not my favourite subject, and I didn't seem to have a natural propensity towards literature at first. It was something I discovered as a teenager; I realised that books were the pathway to expanding one's knowledge, both in regard to academia and human experience. And as a young adult, my desire to immerse myself in great works of fiction grew, to the point where I found myself studying English Literature at degree level. From there I've never looked back.
I believe I can use this own experience of mine to find the love of words and language in my pupils. I hope to help my students improve both their ability to analyse texts, and to write well.

I'm quite new to tutoring so I'm more than comfortable to adjust my lesson plans to the course or subject area that you'd like me to follow. And I'm happy to work with all age groups up to 18, and adults as well.
I'm a firm believer in responding to student feedback, and will try to bring a progressive and adaptive approach to my sessions.
My standard lesson will run for an hour (including 5 mins or so for a starter to get the pupil engaged). However if you'd like a longer period I'm happy to do 1.5 or 2 hours, so long as we allow time for a breather, in order to keep the pupil fresh.
Mostly I hope to keep the pupil happy, engaged, and learning, as I believe I can bring out a fruitful love of English in everyone.
