About Samuel
I am a recently qualified secondary school teacher specializing in English and Religious Education, and I am committed to helping students feel confident, supported, and capable in their learning. I understand that many students can feel unsure of their abilities or overwhelmed by schoolwork, and I aim to create a calm, respectful learning environment where progress feels achievable.
My teaching approach is structured, clear, and student-centered. Lessons are carefully planned to suit individual learning needs, with a strong focus on understanding rather than rote learning. My approach to tutoring is student-centred, structured, and encouraging. I focus on building confidence first, as I believe students learn best when they feel supported and understood. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student, for example, a student like Samuel may benefit from breaking tasks into smaller steps and using examples before moving on to independent work. I also regularly check understanding and adjust lessons accordingly.
