About Preston
I grew up in Escondido, California surrounded by one of the greatest communities of Reformed Biblical Scholars at Westminster Theological Seminary in California. I have had the experience of being a member of the OPC, PCA, and URC denominations in the past. Currently I am a member in good standing at a URC in Southern California.
I received in depth education on Reformed Theology & Church History from Pre-School and all the way through my undergraduate years. I continue to learn every day, and consider myself a life-long learner of the word of God.
In middle school and high school level Sunday school, I had the privilege to personally study under professors like Dr. Robert Godfrey, Dr. Steven Baugh, Dr. Charles Telfer, Dr. Dennis Johnson, Dr. Julius Kim, and many more.
I attended college at Providence Christian College in Pasadena, California. This institution teaches it's students from a Christian Reformed Worldview. I graduated in May 2019 with a liberal arts degree. My concentrations were in business and communications. However, I took a myriad of upper division theology courses and Biblical Languages courses in my time there. Thus, I am well educated, and continue to educate myself in Scripture.

I try to approach teaching from a perspective that some things in Scripture can be complex for people to grasp - especially on a philosophical level (free will, the trinity, certain attributes of God).
Because of this, my approach to teaching on the subject of Theology is best compared to that of R.C Sproul. He was able to so eloquently, yet simply explain Scripture in words that could be understood by a 5th grader. This is what my teaching style strives to mimic.
I will use and recommend a myriad of resources that can be useful as needed while I teach. These will be things like sermon recordings, YouTube videos, conference speakers, books, articles, catechisms and above all - Scripture.
