About Russell
I adopt an as-needed approach to tutorials, with the student helping to direct areas of concern to address and shifting approaches to cater for immediate and long-term needs.
I have a Master's degree in teaching from QUT and a Bachelor of Creative Arts from USQ. I have worked as a classroom teacher, solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and professional actor. I have worked with the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority as a marker and exam invigilator. I have also worked as a NAPLAN marker and can assist with NAPLAN preparation at all levels.

I have 24 years’ experience in teaching and tutoring.
I tutor online using Zoom, Teams or Google Meet. $60/hour. Available 7 days a week. Middle school and Senior students welcome.
• QCAA trained in External Assessment marking and QCS marking.
• Former Legal Studies panelist.
• Former NAPLAN marker.
• Former Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland.
• Qualifications: Bachelor of Creative Arts (USQ); Master of Teaching (QUT); Certificate III in Adult Literacy.
• Blue card.
I use a holistic approach to tutoring, making sure that understanding of the subject is combined with appreciation of the context and relevance of what is being studied.
