About Asia
I am a research technician of Neuroscience at The University of Manchester with a First Class Masters in Neuroscience and four-years of experience in public engagement. I've led group mentoring sessions for primary and secondary school students right through to university graduates, focussing on a range of life science modules. I have also provided one-to-one feedback on novel drafts, short story proofs, dissertations and lab reports.

Discussion is at the heart of my philosophy. I find that I learn best when teaching and so adopt this principle when tutoring. From theories to mechanisms, I help students find ways to apply the knowledge they gain and believe that displaying the wonders of science is far more beneficial than complex textbook explanations; trivia doesn't have to be trivial.
I coach students at all levels of study - from KS3 to BSc degree level - to maximise their understanding in a variety of scientific subjects (biochemistry, molecular biology, human anatomy, genetics, microbiology, statistics), as well as helping them discover their potential in written assignments.
My services include (but are not limited to):
- Group-based or one-to-one tuition in biology modules at KS3, GCSE, A level and BSc degree level.
- Feedback on assignment content, structure and English grammar.
- Teaching in statistically analysing and displaying scientific data appropriately.
- Advice on how to approach lab reports, dissertations, essays and other forms of literary compositions.
