About Kristine Mae
I am Teacher Kristine and I am an experienced teacher for 5 years already. I graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Arts in English Language in which I obtained my TEFL Certificate. Aside from teaching English, I also have experience teaching Tagalog to diverse learners. I have been very happy about my teaching since all students are individuals, and everyone learns in their own unique way. I use multiple methods of teaching (linguistic, visual, auditory, kinesthetic) to reach students, so that no one is left behind. As a role model for appropriate behavior, I always must show respect to parents and my students. A professional treats everyone with dignity and knows the boundaries in terms of what teachers are allowed to stand for what is right.

I believe in instilling a passion for lifetime learning into my students. One way I instill this passion is by being a model lifetime learner for my students. For instance, in my classroom, you will hear me thinking aloud, interacting with the text during reading, and demonstrating inquiry by asking questions. I believe that every child can reach their learning potential, with high expectations, the necessary support and opportunities, and a caring classroom. I support this effort by greeting each child as he/she enters the classroom, so that each student feels welcome and believes that he/she is part of a learning community. I clearly state the learning and behavioral expectations for my class, and I follow through in upholding these standards. For instance, if a student turns in a substandard project, then I meet with the student, reiterate my expectations, and provide any further assistance or support that the student might need to finish the project.

Perfect! Kristine is a wonderful Tagalog tutor! She is patient, communicative, kind, and very attentive. I highly recommend that anyone looking for Tagalog lessons take her up as she's great at what she does and it's obvious she cares deeply about the students she works with.
