About Stephen
I am a dedicated Chemistry tutor with over 3 years of teaching experience and an MSc in Supramolecular Chemistry. Chemistry has always inspired me because it reveals how molecules interact to create the materials we rely on every day. I enjoy helping students discover the logic behind these interactions.
My academic interests focus strongly on materials science and polymer chemistry. These areas explore how scientists design materials with specific strength, flexibility, and functionality. Understanding these ideas opens the door to many modern technologies.
In my lessons, I use case studies involving plastics, composites, and nanomaterials. Students examine how these materials are structured at the molecular level and how that structure determines their behavior. These discussions help turn abstract chemical theories into practical understanding.
I guide learners step by step in exploring the relationship between chemical structure and material function. Once this connection becomes clear, complex topics become much easier to understand. Chemistry begins to feel more logical and meaningful.
My goal is to build strong conceptual understanding while encouraging curiosity and critical thinking. Together we can explore how chemistry shapes the innovative materials that will define the future.

My teaching approach focuses on clarity, logical structure, and strong analytical thinking. I guide students through chemistry step by step so even complex ideas become manageable. Each lesson connects core chemical principles with biological chemistry, helping students understand how molecules influence living systems. We study topics such as biochemistry, macromolecules, and the structure of proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids. I also explain metabolic pathways and enzyme kinetics using clear examples and real biological contexts.
Structured case studies are central to my teaching style. Together we analyze how chemical reactions occur inside cells and how scientists investigate them. This method helps students move beyond memorization and start thinking scientifically. I work particularly well with students who study life sciences and want to understand the chemistry behind organisms. Lessons frequently connect reactions to plants, animals, and ecological systems.
The aim is to develop both academic success and strong scientific reasoning. Students are encouraged to question ideas, analyze mechanisms, and explore molecular interactions. Over time they gain confidence in understanding complex biochemical systems. This process builds a deeper appreciation of the chemistry that drives life.
