About Chip
My name is Mr. Weber. I’ve had the privilege of teaching students of many different ages, from Pre-Algebra all the way through college-level Calculus AB. I enjoy new challenges, which is why I never confined myself to a single specialization. I love learning and experiencing knowledge just as much as I enjoy applying it. Before teaching, part of my career was spent building components for defense systems, telephones, and even a Mars land rover. If you’re learning a topic, chances are I’ve used it in my work or life. I’m here to make sure you succeed—comfortably, confidently, and happily.

1) I start by evaluating the student’s existing knowledge of the topic so I can understand their strengths, gaps, and misconceptions before moving forward.
2) I introduce concepts through multiple approaches—such as mathematical examples, nature-based analogies, or their personal hobbies—so the student can connect the idea to something familiar and easier to understand.
3) When introducing a new lesson, I begin with the foundational concepts and ensure the student is confident with them before progressing. I use verbal explanations along with step-by-step problem-solving to reinforce their understanding.
There are many great instructors out there, but I also take on the role of a mentor. Having two children who went through school, I learned the importance of being present not only to teach math, but also to support them through their frustration and help them feel understood. I bring that same approach to my students. Every learner is different, and the support they need can look different for each one.
