About Steven
I retired as a chemical engineer, 30 years in diamond synthesis (that's right, I made diamond). During that career I had to use many, many maths (calculus), physics (electricity, magnetism, acoustics) and other science-related fields. It was the ONLY way to figure out how to improve: knowing how something works is the first step to improving it. Guessing is not an option. Same with tutoring. You will learn from me how to begin to solve problems by putting them in 'method boxes'.

I have folders of problem examples we can go over, if needed. I use a 'step-by-step recipe' solving method so you do NOT have to memorize too much. The biggest issue is how to start: a recipe, a checklist is a great way to begin to solve problems.
