I had the opportunity to Professor David Snyder in my undergrad program at SUNY Cortland. Admittedly, as a young "know it all" student at that time, I did not love Prof. Snyder at the time. Showing up to class, I had to listen, pay attention and do the work. Almost 20 years later and a Doctor now, who has done a ton of work, I not only appreciate Prof. Snyder's years of mentorship, but his attention to detail and care for his students at SUNY Cortland. He made me and my fellow students, do the work and use our brains to critically and logically think, while also learning to trust our intuitions as spiritual beings. As a husband, father, business owner and Doctor, I look back on my academic education and recognize Prof. Snyder, not only one of my best teachers in life, but also one of the mentors who has helped me get to where I am today. Prof Snyder is a fantastic Sport Management professor! He’s well versed in Sport Law and International Sport Law, but also breaks down the fundamentals of each in a way that’s easy and helpful to remember as law as a whole is very complex. In addition, Prof Snyder is incredibly personable and is one of a kind! Definitely had a lasting impact on me and my career beyond my collegiate days. Any student would be lucky to learn from him.
