About Valencia
I am a retired Elementary School Teacher who has taught in public and private schools. I have taught for 37 years. I have taught all elementary subjects. My passion is for teaching Language Arts. Also during my years of teaching, I have worked as a Literacy Coach, School Improvement Specialist, and Math Instructional Facilitator. I worked diligently to help students master the subjects in which they needed more support.

My teaching method is to assess the student's ability in the subject and assign interactive lessons to assist the students in mastering the assignments. I give formative and summative tests to monitor the student's progress. Also, I listen to the student's discussion about what subject area or assignment in which they need help. I enjoy keeping the student engaged in the conversation and expressing their thinking verbally or in writing to show they are learning the skill. I like to get the student engaged through time on task in an interactive assignment or the assignment that he or she may have already.
