About Joseph
I am currently studying at Brigham Young University and understand the importance of great teachers since I, myself, have been able to have great examples here. Teachers that inspire and encourage can make an enormous difference in the life of a student. My goal is to bring the love and passion I have for the Spanish language to all those who learn it through me as that passion is what propels us to love learning despite all the challenges that come with it.

Hello, there! My name is Joe and it'd be a pleasure to help you improve upon and refine your Spanish skills in whatever level they may be at. I served in Panamá as missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ which gave me unparalleled opportunity to acquire Spanish fluency. My expectations for myself were so high when I arrived, and I figured I'd be fluent in no time... That was not the case! I was with American missionary companions the overwhelming majority of my time in Panamá and so I had two options: speak English (the easy route) or force myself to study everyday AND speak Spanish ALL DAY, EVERYDAY. I had wanted to speak Spanish fluently since I was 14 but it had never amounted to much, so I knew this was my biggest opportunity to learn it well. I prayed AND worked for the ability to sound native. I will be able to help clarify grammar and sentence construction, as well as assist in helping you get rid of that American accent!
