About Tayara
I am a Guitar tutor with over 10 years of experience teaching college students. My lessons are fun, engaging, and designed to help students grow both technically and creatively while enjoying the process of learning music.
I teach chords, fingerstyle techniques, improvisation, and songs, and break down music theory into simple, practical steps. I also integrate backing tracks, recordings, and interactive exercises to keep lessons dynamic and effective.
Over the past 10 years, I’ve helped students improve technique, perform confidently, and explore their musical expression. My goal is to make lessons productive, enjoyable, and personalised to every student’s needs.

I teach guitar with a methodology that combines creativity, mentorship, critical thinking, and accountability. I help students explore musical styles, experiment with techniques, and create original compositions. Lessons are engaging, interactive, and designed to build both technical skill and personal expression.
Mentorship is central to my approach. I provide guidance, constructive feedback, and encouragement to help students gain confidence and independence. Critical thinking is integrated by teaching students to analyse songs, apply theory practically, and solve challenges creatively.
Accountability ensures consistent progress. Together, we set goals, monitor improvements, and celebrate achievements. Lessons combine exercises, practice, and creative projects tailored to each student.
Along with guitar, I teach music theory, improvisation, and composition. My ultimate goal is to develop confident, creative, and independent musicians who enjoy learning and performing music.
