About Lucia
Hi, my name is Lucia! and I am a rising junior at a STEM-focused high school. I have a strong passion for medicine and neurology. I have developed strong problem-solving and analytical skills through challenging coursework, hands-on labs, and projects that have further advanced my skills. I have experience with Algebra, Geometry, and other middle- and high-school math topics, and I enjoy breaking down complex problems into simple, manageable steps. I enjoy helping others learn and understand difficult concepts in a way that makes sense to them. I believe that each student can succeed with the right support and encouragement. My goal through this platform is to create a positive learning environment where I can help make students feel comfortable asking questions and help them build confidence in their abilities. I'm involved in community service throughout my county, and I am excited to work with students to help them reach their academic goals.

My lessons are aimed towards aspiring 9th graders and below who wish to advance their studies before the school year. I tend to demonstrate through practice problems, worksheets, real-life examples. I have a visual and auditory teaching style; however, I conform to my students' teaching style to give the best experience possible. I will hand as many resources as possible for studying and practicing. As a tutor, I value mentorship over lecturing, and I will transform tutoring sessions into fun, thought-provoking classes that inspire students to problem-solve on their own and develop effective study habits and time management skills.

Details
Online tutoring lessons will be through Google Meet. I will be sending a link to the virtual session through email or SMS before the session is about to begin. In-person tutoring sessions will take place at either the student's home or my town's public library.
