Royal Birmingham Conservatoire student offering piano and keyboard lessons up to Grade 8

I came to Naomi after receiving a recommendation for her from a friend. I was told that she had only taught children before so I was unsure of what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Even though I was a complete beginner into the world of music, Naomi was never condescending when I struggled with basic terms, and I never felt as if I was being treated in a childish manner. We hit off immediately - she is friendly, enthusiastic and light-hearted and there is always a positive spin on her lessons (even when I haven’t practiced!). I love her classes and she obviously prepares well for all her lessons and builds up skills bit by bit. Could not reccomend enough. Although one could consider it a little strange to be taught by someone younger than them, once I got into conversation with her I never noticed the age difference! If you’re looking for a fun, but focused teacher for music who covers all areas - not just the playing aspect - then this is who you want to go for.

Naomi taught my son for 3 years and brought him to achieve a distinction in his grade 1 piano. She is great with beginners and she has a very strong lesson plan for laying down the basics. George always looked forward to her lessons and her encouraging and friendly persona have him so much motivation to practice, and he always left every lesson with a smile on his face. In my view, Naomi is a born teacher, with a talent in keeping her lessons interesting and varied and fun while teaching valuable skills and moving at the student’s own pace. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a piano teacher, especially beginners.
