About Bella
I'm a psychology student studying at the University of Birmingham. I have previously completed the peer mentorship scheme, providing me experience with teaching children with mental health struggles. I love reading and have always had a passion for teaching, especially those moments where students gain confidence and excitement in subjects they've always resented.

My Psychology degree underpins my teachings, supporting the viewpoint that students' learning is best when they are encouraged, taking small chunks of what was previously big and scary academic material and breaking it down into manageable topics which can be tackled more easily. Studies have proven that students memorise information best after taking breaks, then revisiting the same information at a later date to further consolidate the memory. In my experience, this has proven to be very effective with students, so I tend to briefly go over information from previous lessons in later ones to reinforce their understanding. I also have experience with children who manage learning difficulties like dyslexia, helping my dyslexic younger sister achieve high English grades at GCSE. I harness students' own creativity and learning strategies to guide their learning, enabling them to navigate academia more independently in the future.

Perfect! She is such a cheerful, bubbly student that brightens our lesson all the time but does not overwhelm or overpower me at all. She is a responsible person: she always arranges a lesson room and keeps me updated about the lesson schedule and change if any.
What is good about her lesson is her instructions of pronunciation. She points out the problem with my pronunciation and demonstrates the sounds so clearly.
I would say her lesson is worth the fee.- Wonderful lesson, great progress made with ‘L’ sounds. For next lesson it would be great if she worked on lowering intonation towards the ends of sentences and pronunciation for double-barreled words.Bella's response :
