About Dante
Hello! My name is Dante D'Angelo, and I have been teaching private music lessons for 8 years! I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, and a Teaching Credential from Sonoma State University.
I love to study and perform in both classical and jazz. Notably, I was the principal saxophonist in Sonoma State University's Wind Ensemble, and have performed with Marcus Shelby, Michael Bee, and more in jazz clubs across the Bay Area.
In addition to my involvement in the arts, I love singing and playing guitar. I perform blues, rock, pop, country, folk, and blue grass at wineries such as 'Dusty Road' in Santa Cruz, California.
Most importantly, I wish to share my love of music with my students so that they can be successful in pursuing their dreams. Nothing makes me more proud than to see my students take what they've learned from our lessons and share it with the world!

All my students will learn to become self-motivated. A self-motivated student practices on their own because they love the feeling of accomplishment when they progress. This is how a love for music and performance is achieved.
To become self motivated, goals will be set to keep students focused on developing and improving specific skills needed to become a well-rounded musician.
To achieve these goals, different activities and exercises will be used meet the individual needs of my students. This ensures progress and enjoyment!
