About Mariame
I am a high school student from NYC, and I love to read and write. For the NYC students, I have already taken the English Regents, and scored a 99. I am very punctual and patient, so I can work with students at any level. I tutored students in the summer (for the U.S. History Regents) and all three of them went from failing in June, to passing with at least an 80. I would be an amazing tutor for students at any level.

My essay-building lessons and structures have helped many students pass big exams like their regents and state exams. English is my strength, and I am the perfect tool for other students to use! I am the best tutor for you because I am still a high school student myself, so I can apply the new things that I learn to our lessons. Other tutors may already be out of school, and may struggle to remember the skills that are expected of students. The lessons are for high schoolers, middle schoolers, and even elementary students (3rd grade and up). A typical session would include a small paragraph for the student to dissect and find the grammar errors, analyzing texts, daily vocabulary words to expand their knowledge, practicing planning for an essay (if needed), and formulating paragraphs, and eventually essays under a time limit (to practice pacing).
