About Courtney
Hi all! My name is Courtney and I am an environmental chemist and avid traveler with a focus on communication and writing. My credentials are a Master's in Environmental Chemistry, and a TEFL English Certification. For 7 years, I have tutored in English, math, writing, job applications, and thesis submission. I have published a scientific article in Environmental Research, a news article in Miami Herald, learned Spanish while working and traveling, and presented my research internationally. Communication, high-level writing, and language learning are not only jobs for me but passions. I understand the struggles of learning a language and preparing a thesis- so I take your language learning very seriously. But that doesn't mean it have to be boring.

Hi all! I have taught for 7 years while obtaining my degrees, to many age groups but with a focus on professionals, students, and travelers in need of writing and speaking help. I am a traveler and language learner myself, so my lessons are packed with real-life situations to ensure you will use the language you learn. Each student is unique so your lessons will be built for you. My previous students' experiences: -learning useful phrases, basic math and numbers, and correcting accent with surf instructors in Nicaragua -proofreading manuscripts for publication -editing news writing to be published in Miami Herald -compile research plans, guidance on presentation habits, phrases, and accent for college students Whether you need conversational practice, proofreading, basic English grammar and pronunciation instruction, or you are preparing for a job interview, we will improve your language ability just as my previous students have.
