About David
Hello everyone! I am currently a fourth-year middle school science teacher of biology. I graduated with my bachelor's in environmental science from American Public University, my master's in science education from Relay Graduate School of Education, and am in the process of completing my master's in biology from Miami University. For nearly a decade, I worked as a veterinary technician, learning the ins and outs of animal science and medicine. For over fifteen years now, I have been a board member and wildlife education coordinator for the nonprofit. I focus on bringing sustainability and water security to communities in remote areas around the world, as well as bringing wildlife and ecology-based educational curriculums into classrooms within those communities. Needless to say, I am passionate about all things science!

I use a wide range of teaching methods, employing a healthy blend of online platforms and a one-on-one tailored approach to a student's needs. My lesson plans are rigorous and engaging, boasting a mixture of media, educational games, assessments, and more. As a tutor, I believe my eight years in veterinary medicine, fifteen years in wildlife research and education, and four years teaching formally in the classroom have allowed me to grow and become an effective communicator and instructor across multiple scientific disciplines. Lessons are geared from elementary to college students.
