About Roisin
I began playing the tin whistle at the age of 4, entering my first competition before my 5th birthday. Since then I have been passionate about learning new music myself and sharing this knowledge with students across Scotland, the UK and abroad.
I have performed across Europe and USA, most recently touring with Cherish the Ladies. I also regularly perform in Scotland and USA for Irish Dancing competitions.
I now perform regularly at music events on piano, piano accordion and harp. I qualified as a teacher in 2012, and have since taught in primary and secondary schools and tutored. Since March 2020, I have been teaching online via Zoom.

Once students are confident with the notes, I primarily teach by ear. I teach Scottish and Irish music with melody and accompaniment, or accompaniment for other instruments.
A typical lesson lasts 45 minutes, depending on the age and level of the student.

Roisin has worked with both of my children (age 8/10) separately. She clearly explained the topic in a different way that helped them understand. She used lots of different resources to help keep them engaged and get excited about Mathematics!
Roisin was absolutely wonderful with my daughter who is very anxious about maths. She had fallen slightly behind in class tests etc. and her confidence was low. Roisin turned her around amazingly both academically and with self confidence. She got an A in her final assessment and we are delighted.
