About Nitsa
Having experienced similar challenges and setbacks myself, I understand how difficult it can be to find inspiration and confidence in writing. Coming up with ideas and expressing creativity can sometimes feel overwhelming, but I believe every student has a unique creative spark. My goal is to help students discover that spark and build confidence in their writing abilities. I am a second-year undergraduate student living in New York, with a strong background in English literature, essay writing, and critical thinking. These courses have equipped me with valuable skills and techniques that I am eager to share to make writing clearer and more manageable. Currently, I am studying screenwriting, which provides me with valuable experience in creativity and storytelling skills. I approach tutoring with patience and professionalism, making sure each lesson meets the student’s individual needs—whether that involves brainstorming, improving grammar, or refining essays. Together, we can make writing an exciting and rewarding experience!

My teaching approach focuses on personalized, student-centered instruction that adapts to each learner’s individual needs and goals. I prioritize clarity, creativity, and practical application to help students build strong writing skills that extend beyond the classroom. I begin by helping students break down essay prompts and assignments to fully understand what is expected. Together, we work through brainstorming and outlining techniques to organize ideas effectively. I incorporate creative writing exercises to develop originality and a strong writing voice, while also providing detailed, constructive feedback on drafts. Grammar, syntax, and proofreading receive careful attention to ensure polished and accurate final work.
A typical lesson starts with discussing the student’s current writing goals or assignments. We review previous work and focus on specific challenges before collaboratively writing or revising essays. To build confidence and creativity, I often use creative writing prompts. Each session ends with clear, actionable steps and tailored resources to support independent practice outside of tutoring.
As a screenwriting student, I have a unique perspective on storytelling and narrative structure. This allows me to especially help students develop their creativity, guiding them to craft engaging and original essays. My flexible teaching style ensures that lessons are customized to address the student’s most urgent needs, whether that’s brainstorming ideas, improving grammar, or perfecting college application essays.
My lessons are designed primarily for middle and high school students who want to improve their English skills, including essay writing for school assignments or college applications. Whether a student needs help with foundational grammar or advanced creative writing, each lesson is tailored to their current level and academic goals.
